Our members interests are Aircraft, Cars, Sci-Fi, AFV's, Ships, and Figures.
We work in all scales, but 1/48th and 1/32nd are the most popular with the Aircraft modellers.

Model Shows in 2007

Scale Model World, the IPMS Nationals 2007
This was our fourth year of attendence to SMW as an IPMS branch. We were displaying alongside IPMS Barnet.
In the competitions, Tim Harris took Gold, two Silvers and a Bronze in the figures class.
Most of us spent vast amounts of cash on kits, books, decals etc, and had a great three days.

Milton Keynes 'Model Kraft 2007' Show.
The club together with IPMS Barnet, attended the show held at the Bletchley Leisure Centre, and had a great day.
In the competitions, Roger Brown won a Silver medal in Sci-Fi for a Cormorant Destroyer.
Vince Blackburn of Barnet IPMS won a Bronze medal in 1/48 aircraft with a Hyakushiki Shitei III, and Alex Taylor won a Bronze medal with a GMC Cargo truck.

'Capcon 2007', IPMS Ottawa's model show in Canada.
I attended this model show in Canada, and in the competition I was fortunate to win a Silver in Sci-Fi for a Jedi Starfighter.

Model Shows in 2008

Southern Expo 2008
The club together with IPMS Barnet, attended the return of this excellent show, and had a great two days.
In the competitions, Roger Brown won First place in Sci-Fi with a Dune Ornithopter.
Nick Wigman won a Second in 1/32 Aircraft with an ME-109, and Alan Bottoms won a third in 1/32 Aircraft with a Kawasaki Ki-61 Hein.


'Scale Model World, the IPMS Nationals 2008'
The biggest model show in the UK is being held on the 15th and 16th of November 2008,
at the Telford International Centre, Telford, Shropshire.

Model Shows in 2009

'The IPMS Barnet Model Show 2009'
This excellent model show is back, at the RAF Museum Hendon.
The provisional date is Sunday 26th April 2009, and will be confirmed soon.



This year marks the 65th Anniversary of the Dambusters raid by Lancasters of 617 Squadron.
May 16th 1943


This year also marks the 50th Anniversary of the first flight of the XF4H-1 Phantom..
May 27 1958


And this year also marks the 50th Anniversary of the first flight of the Blackburn NA-39 Buccaneer.
April 30 1958
